Clement Sordet is a French professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He turned professional in 2015 after a successful career as an amateur when he won six times.

The former Texas Tech University student made a fast start to life as a professional, winning the 2015 Northern Ireland Open in Association with Sphere Global and Ulster Bank in just his fourth Challenge Tour appearance.

He added to his trophy cabinet at the Turkish Airlines Challenge the following year, then made it four Challenge Tour wins in three seasons by triumphing at the Viking Challenge and the season-ending NBO Golf Classic Grand Final in 2017.

Sordet earned a rookie season on the European Tour after finishing inside the top 15 on the 2017 Challenge Tour Rankings. He regained his European Tour playing rights at Qualifying School Final Stage in 2018.

In March 2022, Sordet had his fifth career title on the Challenge Tour at the SDC Open in South Africa. The tournament at Zebula Golf Estate and Spa in South Africa was co-sanctioned by the Challenge Tour and the Sunshine Tour. The former Texas Tech golfer birdied the first hole of a playoff to win the SDC Open over South African Ruan Conradie. Sordet and Conradie finished regulation tied at 21 under par after Sordet shook off two bogeys in his first four holes to shoot a final-round 67 and Conradie closed with a 68.

“It is really special,” Sordet said in a story on the Sunshine Tour website. “The past few years have been tough and it’s really nice to get a win here in South Africa.

“I felt pretty good for the playoff as I was playing well all day. I hit a good drive and had a chance to go for the green. Ruan laid up and I hit a 3-iron onto the green and two-putted for the win. It was exactly the same putt which I missed in regulation play, so I knew the line.”
