Originally from Woodbridge, Stacy’s love of food began at a young age. She grew up watching cooking competition shows, like “Food Network Challenge,” where her imagination was first piqued. Food Network’s Spring Baking Challenge is her first appearance on a cooking show.
“As a kid, I was really drawn to baking because I would just watch a bunch of Food Network shows,” she told the Food Network. “To finally be here and see it, it’s pretty magical.”

28-year-old North Jersey pastry chef Stacy Flores is a contestant on the 11th season of Food Network’s “Spring Baking Championship.” On the show, contestants bake for judges Duff Goldman, Nancy Fuller and Kardea Brown for the chance to win $25,000, the title of Spring Baking Champion and a feature in Food Network Magazine.
Although the executive pastry chef has worked in multiple Michelin-starred restaurants, she’s still starstruck by one particular judge. “I’m super excited to meet Duff,” she said.
Stacy is joined by fellow New Jersey artisan Lauren Klein, a pastry chef, chocolatier and owner of candy company Handcrafted Chocolate in Freehold Township.
In the first episode of “Spring Baking Championship,” the bakers will be “challenged to use flavor, texture and design to craft a flower-themed dessert that reflects their unique personalities,” according to Food Network.
During the course of the season, the bakers will “take on enchanting challenges, including ‘squared off’ fruit entremets celebrating the blocky, adventurous world of ‘A Minecraft Movie,’ intricate butterfly-shaped napoleons, ice-cream-filled cake bombs with a glow-in-the-dark twist, three-layer cakes inspired by Marie Antoinette’s iconic gravity-defying hairdo and more,” reads an article on the Food Network.
