Raveena Oberoi is a self-taught baker and cake designer turned pastry chef. The award-winning entrepreneur is the CEO and owner of Just Cakes Bakeshop. She is a contestant on Food Network’s Spring Baking Championship 2025.

Raveena realized her passion in baking at the age of 16, when she was creating cakes for friends and families, even creating some of her high school projects in cake form. She launched a small home-based bakery, ‘Just Cakes’ in 2010.

After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at the University of British Columbia, Raveena travelled to Paris, France to learn from the best French chefs about the art of pastry. She studied pastry arts at Ecole Bellouet Conseil. Upon her return to Canada, she launched Just Cakes Bakeshop in 2017.

Just Cakes has undergone considerable growth since opening in 2017. Raveena’s Just Cakes team was featured on Food Network Canada’s The Big Bake show, where they won the competition for best Halloween-themed cake, in 2019.

In 2016, she was named among Surrey’s Top 25 Under 25 award winners. In 2017 she won the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the Surrey Board of Trade’s Business Excellence Awards. She worked as a judge on Prime Video’s Wall of Bakers in 2022. In 2023, she was named among BC Business Magazine’s Top 30 Under 30 award winners. She was also a finalist for accolades like Surrey Board of Trade’s Women in Business and BC’ s Women of Distinction awards.

Raveena is the founder of the Jar Bar, Canada’s first cake jar vending machine. She is also one of the co-founders of Gummy Gainz. She has also written a cookbook – Just Moments, a book of curated home-friendly recipes – and has plans to write more in the coming years.

31-year-old chef Raveena Oberoi is a contestant on Food Network’s Spring Baking Championship Season 11. She revealed the news on Instagram, writing: “I am so excited to finally announce that I will be baking my heart out on Spring Baking Championship on Food Network.”

Speaking about her fellow contestants, she said: “Words cannot express how amazing it is to know you all and bond over our shared love of sugar and all things baked. The friendships we made through this have been nothing short of incredible and I am so grateful for this bunch.”
