Marty McAdam is the head chef and owner of The Street Kitchen in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland. He competed on Great British Menu in 2022 and 2025.

Having started his career in various restaurants in his hometown of Enniskillen, aged 14, Marty furthered his skills working under the guidance of renowned chef Tom Kitchin at his Michelin star restaurant, The Kitchin, and then moved back to Ireland to work with Neven Maguire in Macnean House.

After four years he was hungry for a new adventure. His culinary adventures took him across the globe cooking in some of the most beautiful destinations in the world including Australia, Thailand and Dubai. He returned to the Emerald Isle before working as a chef on a superyacht sailing the Mediterranean and Indian Ocean.

Upon returning home, Marty was finally able to open his own establishment, The Street Kitchen. The casual restaurant, Street Kitchen, offers tapas style small plates and cocktails inspired by flavours of his global travel.

38-year-old chef Marty McAdam is set to appear on the 20th series of the Great British Menu on BBC2, presented by former judge and chef Andi Oliver. He will compete alongside three other chefs from Northern Ireland in the popular cooking show.

Marty will be representing Northern Ireland on Great British Menu 2025, alongside Stevie McCarry of Lir restaurant, Lawrence Barrow of Hearth and Tine, and Jonny Taylor of Saga.

“We are so excited to share that our very own Marty will be representing Northern Ireland on this year’s @greatbritishmenu,” The Street Kitchen wrote on Instagram. “We can’t wait for you all to see him in action, showcasing his love for food and talent on one of the UK’s biggest cooking shows.⁠”

Returning from his appearance on Series 17, Chef Marty knows he still has a lot to prove. Eager to showcase his growth, he hopes to go further this time and make it to the banquet. The head chef at the Street Kitchen in Enniskillen is returning to the show after last appearing in 2022 with fellow Great British Menu Northern Ireland stars Gemma Austin, Stephen Hope, and Chris McClurg.
