Briony Ace is a British interior designer and a contestant on Series 6 of BBC One’s Interior Design Masters. She is the founder of Briony Ace Interiors, an interior design business based in Surrey.
Since going into interior design, Briony has delved into both the residential and commercial world of visual design. She started her own home and giftware business with her partner Joe Daniel Chandler, running over eight retail concepts, designing and importing home decor and creating a wholesale business to provide independent businesses with unique homeware.
Briony describes her design style as organic, earthy, and restorative. She would love to design a room for Alan Carr and Amanda Holden for their renovation series. She told the BBC: “They always get their hands on the most gorgeous bare bones of properties and use amazing local suppliers and trades to bring life back into a home and village that will be well used, well loved and bring so much joy.
“Also, they seem to fit in regular snack and drink breaks, normally involving sunshine which seems a bit more relaxing than the two day turn around I’ve become accustomed to.”

37-year-old Briony Ace is a contestant on Series 6 of BBC One’s Interior Design Masters, hosted by Alan Carr and judged by Michelle Ogundehin. The BBC show is her favourite programme on TV. Speaking about her main motivation in applying to be part of Interior Design Masters, Briony said: “I love how it makes design accessible to the masses and inspires people to transform their surroundings for the better, showing it can be done within quick timelines and tight budgets.
“Since going into interior design and reinventing spaces for family and friends, something has come alive within me, and it just fits. I’m so inspired to transform – from the functional to the beauty. I love it all and I truly believe in the joy and peace it creates in people’s lives. I wanted to be able to showcase a style that hasn’t yet been on Interior Design Masters.”
Speaking about her fellow designers on the series, Briony said: “What a talented bunch of lovely humans! I honestly love them all and find it fascinating how the same brief can be interpreted in so many ways. Each designer bought with them a wealth of knowledge and design power that was unique to them, and this really translates into everyone’s creations. This really is going to be a special series. I still can’t believe what we all achieved.”
