Brian Harman is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He has two PGA TOUR Victories, the 2014 John Deere Classic and the 2017 Wells Fargo Championship.

Harman played collegiate golf on the University of Georgia golf team. He was a three-time 2nd Team All-American, won the 2005 NCAA Preview and the 2006 Isleworth Invitational. He also won the yearly award for highest Grade Point Average three times.

Harman won the U.S. Junior Amateur in 2003, the Players Amateur in 2005, and the Porter Cup in 2007. He played on the winning 2005 and 2009 Walker Cup and 2007 Palmer Cup teams.

Harman turned professional in 2009. In 2010, the Savannah native played mostly on the EGolf Professional Tour. He claimed his first professional victory at the 2010 Manor Classic.

His first PGA Tour win was the 2014 John Deere Classic. On May 7, 2017, Harman won the Wells Fargo Championship held at Eagle Point Golf Club in Wilmington, North Carolina, for his second PGA Tour win. Harman made a 28-foot putt on the 18th hole to win by one stroke over Dustin Johnson and Pat Perez, who finished at 9-under-par.

Brian Harman hasn’t undergone any heart transplant. The golfer noted for having had two heart transplants is Norwegian-American professional golfer Erik Compton.

Compton was an aspiring 9-year-old athlete in Miami when he was diagnosed with viral cardiomyopathy, an inflammation that damages the heart’s ability to pump blood. Over the course of time, the illness took over his life. He was vomiting all the time. He saw spots.

He was put on a donor list and when a 15-year-old girl was killed by an intoxicated driver in 1992, her still healthy heart was passed on to the 12-year-old Compton.

In 2008, Compton had a heart attack and it was determined that he needed another transplant. He underwent a 12-hour procedure on May 20, 2008.
