Annie Chapter is a metal artist and fabricator. She specializes in a variety of creative commissions and collaborations, bringing unique ideas to life through her work. She is an expert on BBC’s The Big Idea Works, presented by Sara Davies.

Annie first started to learn about metalwork in her Mixed Media Fine Art degree. After graduating from her Mixed Media Fine Art Degree in 2003, she designed and built immersive site art and light installations in mixed media at numerous events and festivals in the UK and Europe such as Glastonbury festival, Boomtown and Shambala.

In 2012 Annie completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Scenic Construction (RADA) and subsequently spent several years working commercially as a freelance prop and set fabricator. She worked on numerous West End shows including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and in theatres including the Royal Opera House and the National Theatre.

She went on to complete a post graduate diploma in Scenic Construction, specialising in metalwork and large-scale prop fabrication and using her skills to create imaginative show props and sets. Annie has been doing special effects prop making and creating metalwork ever since.

She worked on SFX Stage props for various clients including the Olympics 2012 opening ceremony and the Take That world tour 2015. More recently she worked on the sets of feature films including ‘Mum’s List’ the new, soon to be released ‘Indiana Jones; the Dial of Destiny’.

In 2016 Annie co-founded Women Teaching Fabrication (WTF) Workshops, a female-led facilitator of creative scrap metal workshops for both adults and children.
