Angharad Reed Biography – Angharad Reed Wiki
Angharad Reed is a Welsh potter, ceramicist and contestant on The Great Pottery Throw Down 2026. She is the founder of Crock-Â-Shwt, a small batch welsh pottery creating stoneware ceramics in Cardiff, South Wales. She started Crock-Â-SHwt out of her love of illustration and clay.
Angharad chooses to use bold colours and graphic imagery to create pieces which tell a story and celebrate modern ceramic surface design. After years of experimenting and testing, Angharad uses sgraffito as the main design technique, sgraffito means “scratched” in Italian.
The name of her business, crock-â-shwt, pays tribute to her welsh heritage and family. Shwt is a small village in South Wales where her great grandparent owned a farm. Her great grandmother, Winnie Watkins, would decorate the walls of her beautiful garden in colourful broken pottery.
Angharad is a member of South Wales Potters (SWP), alongside fellow The Great Pottery Throw Down series 9 contestant Bill Rolls. SWP is one of the largest group of professional and hobby potters and ceramicists in the UK with over 350 members.
