Josh Smith and Alexandria were married on July 31, 2010 in College Park, Georgia. Dwight Howard served as best man at the nuptials. Other NBA players in attendance included Rudy Gay, Josh Childress, Jarrett Jack, Tyronne Lue, and Javaris Crittendon.
According to Inside Weddings, “the couple exchanged vows in a traditional Christian ceremony that was joyfully concluded with the pair jumping the broom.”

Josh Smith filed for divorce from his wife, Alexandria Smith, after nearly 10 years of marriage, in April 2019. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, he noted they were married on July 31, 2010, but were separated. He checked the box saying the marriage was “irretrievably broken” with “no prospects for reconciliation.”
The two share four minor kids with the youngest born in 2018. He sought joint legal and physical custody. He believed both parents should pay support.
Josh said they signed a prenuptial agreement a month before their wedding and asked for it to be enforced.
Alexandria quickly responded agreeing to the divorce but sought primary physical custody of their kids. She revealed they were all still living in the same Atlanta home with the kids at the time. She originally sought a lump sum alimony payment along with temporary and permanent support. She also asked that she get to use their home exclusively and her estranged husband Josh be forced to move out.
The split seemed to be moving forward but weeks later the two jointly dismissed the entire divorce. Neither explained their reasoning for deciding to not move forward with the split.
