Alex Noren is a Swedish professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour and the European Tour. He has won ten tournaments on the European Tour, including the Omega European Masters in 2009, the Saab Wales Open in 2011, the Nordea Masters in 2011, the Nordea Masters in 2015, the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open in 2016, the Omega European Masters in 2016, the British Masters in 2016, the Nedbank Golf Challenge in 2016, the BMW PGA Championship in 2017 and the HNA Open de France in 2018. He was a member of the winning 2018 European Ryder Cup team.

Alex turned professional in 2005 and gained a place on Europe’s second tier Challenge Tour by reaching the final stage of the European Tour qualifying school. In his rookie season, he claimed his maiden professional victory at the 2006 Rolex Trophy, and ended the year in 3rd place on the Challenge Tour Rankings to graduate to the elite European Tour for 2007. Alex qualified for the PGA Tour for the 2017–18 season through non-member FedEx Cup points.

Alex grew up playing all sports before his attention focused on golf at age 8. He made first hole-in-one at age 12. Alex played collegiately at Oklahoma State, where he started as a freshman and was a two-time All-American selection. Teammates included Hunter Mahan and Pablo Martin.
