Aaron Kher Biography – Aaron Kher Wiki

Aaron Kher is a medical product specialist, home cook and contestant on MasterChef Australia 2026. Born in Malaysia, Aaron’s family moved to Melbourne when he was five years old. Growing up, his family cherished the ritual of cooking and eating good food, and communing over meals was a constant for his family of six as his parents worked tirelessly to build a successful medical equipment start-up business. As the business grew, so did expectations that Aaron would continue to drive it forward into the future.

Having earnt a Science degree with a double major, Aaron stepped up to perform an integral role across many facets of the business, including not only hands-on surgical support, but more broadly sales, marketing, client relationships, logistics and training. But deep down, he yearned for more. While fear and doubt initially held him back, he made the difficult decision to resign and follow his passion to forge a career in food.

Inspired in his early years by watching his grandmother making Nyonya, Malaysian, and Chinese dishes from scratch and his grandfather teaching him the joy of sharing good food, it was Aaron’s curiosity that drove his desire to learn more about cooking and building technique.

He poured many hours into observation and research, watching family members or chefs on screen to study their movements and instincts, absorbing every detail of a recipe and why it works. As a result, Aaron’s cooking style blends intuition and technique, shaped also by his heritage, travels, and love of fusion.
