Keely Chalmers is an award-winning American journalist. She is a reporter at KGW in Portland, Oregon, majoring in environmental reporting. Keely joined KGW in 2003. She is soo passionate about the environment, its wildlife, and all that affects them, she says that reporting on environmental stories in the Pacific Northwest is the perfect fit.

Since joining KGW TV in 2003, she has won several awards including a Northwest Regional Emmy in 2011. Keely has as well been nominated for multiple regional Emmy awards. In 2003, she was named Reporter of the Year by the New Mexico Broadcasters Association. Before joining the KGW TV, Keely served as a reporter at KOAT in Albuquerque. Prior to that, she worked as an anchor and reporter at KSFY in Sioux Falls, SD and KGWC in Casper, WY. Keely began her broadcast career as a weather anchor for KGWC in Casper, Wyoming, United States.

Keely attended the University of California at Santa Barbara, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in English. While at the University of California, Keely was also an All-American in lacrosse. The Denver native received her Certificate of Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University. During her free time, she likes skiing, hiking, and spending time with her family.
